About Me
|
Brian was a Navy Brat. He lived in many different places in the north east of the U.S. (even a year and a half in Scotland). He became accustomed to changing towns and schools. To cope with these changes, Brian turned to humor, and in these early years, his humor was silly, whimsical, and definitely extroverted. At the age of ten, his grandmother moved from just outside of New York City to live with his family. Just before high school, Brian suffered a culture shock... his dad was stationed to The South... Southeast Georgia to be specific. This change left Brian unsure of his humor, so he kept it to himself and became more introverted. His humor now only came out around his closest friends, and it tended to be more sarcastic.
Upon graduating high school, Brian began attending Valdosta State University. He was to major in Marketing, but dropped out with ten credits left to achieve his Bachelors Degree. He moved back with his parents, and they've been trying to get rid of him ever since. He saw this as an opportunity to try something he had always wanted to try... stand-up comedy. At his first open mic, Brian was terrible, but no one would have convinced him of that. Since then, he has developed his style, tempering his heavy sarcasm with the re-emerging silliness of his youth. Brian Thomas has quickly created a foothold in the world of comedy by learning from some of the greats, opening for some of the best comedians touring including Bill Burr, Kevin Hart, and Louie Anderson. He uses his sarcastic, sometimes silly style of comedy to relate his experiences as a bald, fat guy, that still lives with his parents (and grandmother), and the sorry state of his dating life. Watch as Brian turns his shortcomings and often misguided observations into comedy geniousity. |
